Objectives:
– To improve living standards & well-being and increase climate change resilience for residents in vulnerable communes and district in Ho Chi Minh City, poor and near-poor people, especially vulnerable groups in Binh Khanh, Thanh An communes of Can Gio District in HCMC in ensuring access to safe housing (1), improving their well-being and their access to community-based housing (2) and promoting their participation and consideration in development process to address their poverty.
– To build capacity and knowledge for Can Gio key local partners to support climate change resilience, organize activities related to climate change adaptation and community-based disaster risk management and help vulnerable households and community to adapt to climate change and respond to natural disasters.
– To mobilize the changes in current policies related to urbanization taking in accounts the needs of the poor, especially vulnerable and marginalized people.
