The project: “Promoting Green Community Initiatives and Effective governance on SWM to combat ocean plastic pollution” through the Clean Cities Blue Ocean Program under support of USAID has supported 394 independent waste collectors (IWCs) with social inclusion including protective devices: clothes, boots, gloves; health & accident insurances; Capacity building for IWCs, strengthen cooperative, especially low-valued plastics such as UBC, single-used bags) market link for recyclables. This project contribute to improve living & working conditions and income bandarbetvip generation for IWCs, create dynamic market for recycles, contribute to improve SWM in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai province
