Rainwater harvesting system completion ceremony and environmental event to fight plastic pollution

On the occasion of the World Ocean’s Day, Enda Vietnam cooperated with Pernod Ricard Vietnam and Snowball Limited Company to conduct the event: “RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM COMPLETION CEREMONY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EVENT TO FIGHT PLASTIC POLLUTION” at Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City on June 7th, 2018.

Thanh An is an island commune and transpiration is mainly by waterway so the local people here would be lack of fresh water for living, especially drinking water. Enda Vietnam surveyed the needs of local people and coordinated and supported Thanh An island commune with rainwater harvesting system, funded by Pernod Ricard Vietnam.

Besides that, Enda Vietnam also held “Responsibility Day”– the Environmental event to fight plastic pollution for more than 80 Pernod Ricard Vietnam’s staffs. In this event, they participated in quizzes. The questions almost focused on knowledge relating to plastic waste. Therefore, participants can get basic knowledge about the harmfulness of plastic waste for the environment and our life.

80 Pernod Ricard Vietnam’s staffs together with Thanh An island commune Youth Union conduct waste pick-up, especially plastic waste on the way to the beach and on the beach as well. This activity not only cleans up public space but also communicates to raise awareness of local people on littering right places and do not litter plastics into environment and marine.
